this is not dead yet I just have a lot goin' on rn and all my projects are suffering and now I have like fifteen minutes to write up this show

ECW HARDCORE TV
7/wk1/96

Alfonso is in the ring to announce the Network's #1 Contender for the ECW Title. Chris Jericho earned that spot...but didn't show up for the match, so we're giving it to Rick Steiner. Jericho pitches a fit, but is ignored and put into the TV Title match instead. (C-) Dreamer and Sabu roll through the Bad Crew in an underwhelming opener. (D+)

Mikey Whipwreck approaches Shane Douglas about his plans for Heat Wave. Douglas wants to let some of his boys get some love, so he's stepping aside for the title matches this time. Whipwreck is being considered....but Douglas has another idea too. Whipwreck will face the "other idea" next week, with the winner going for the ECW title and the loser going for the TV title. (C+) That's good enough for Whipwreck, and right now he's gotta team with Stevie Richards against Christian and (the) Edge, now calling themselves the Suicide Blondes. Stevie's out for revenge against his former buddy, but these new kids are pretty good, and get a big upset! (D)

Woman and Beulah have a catfight backstage, until separated by the Pitbulls. (C) Scott Steiner faces the Rock in a hot main event that sees Rock put over as a future star in coming up just a bit short against the relative vet. (B-) Heyman needs to declare ECW's representatives at Heat Wave...and the obvious choices are Cactus Jack and Terry Funk! The two grizzled warriors come forth....and are jumped on the entry ramp by Big and Strong! Henry and Bigelow destroy Cactus and Funk as Heyman can only look on in horror as the show closes. (B-)

Overall: C SUCCESS

scores and predictions will have to wait but hey at least there's content!

I'm thinking either this cycle or next miiiiight be the last one for this diary, with 2020 theoretically being a thing. What I'm thinking for the final prize (whenever that happens) is you can give me one feud or storyline or whatever, and I'll summarize how I'd book it, trying to be a bit snazzier than usual with the booking. In addition, I could give the winner a second vote in a poll to determine the gimmick of my first 2020 game? (keeping in mind that real world mods take a really long time to start showing up so it'd probably be based in the Cornellverse)

Or I might just keep this rolling and start up a side 2020 game and not post about it, which is kinda what I did when 2016 came out!

ECW Hardcore TV
Wk. 4, 6/96

Heyman comes out to announce the sad news that Scorpio was injured at the last PPV, and will have to vacate the title. Alfonso comes out to crow, and Douglas comes out to shut him up. Heyman yells for order, and has an idea that might for once make everybody happy. At Heat Wave, ECW, the Network, and the Wolfpac will select one representative each to compete for the vacant title...and the same procedure will hold for the TV and Tag titles as well! He'll give everybody a week to start figuring out their plans. (B-) Jericho's back from Japan, and teaming up with Chavo to defend his honor against Dreamer and Taz. Taz is starting to incorporate more shootfighting into his arsenal, and it serves him well enough for Dreamer to get the win over Jericho. (C-; Taz's MMA Bad Ass gets Average)

Stevie and Christian are in the ring to argue. Stevie thought they were friends, man. Christian doesn't involve himself with dumb losers any more than he does with dumb gimmicks, and that's why he's JOINING THE NETWORK. Stevie, however, is one step ahead of him, and he's JOINING THE WOLFPAC! (D+) They must kung-fu fight. Relative newcomer Christian holds his own well against the more established Richards. Regardless, Stevie gets the upper hand on his former partner, but at the expense of an accidental ref bump. Stevie gets the visual pin....then gets SPEARED IN HALF by Adam Impact in a Network shirt! That really outta give Christian an Edge. Impact drags Christian over Stevie, and wakes the ref up to count three. (D)

Woman corners Beulah to harrass her over winning last week's bikini contest. With Scorpio otherwise occupied (I keep forgetting Woman is managing him!) she has half a mind to kick Beulah's cute little butt. Beulah invites her to try, and there's a TENSE (but somehow sexy because it's ECW) STAREDOWN. (C) Mark Henry is generally "credited" for shelving Scorpio, so La Parka suits up for revenge. Fueled by righteous fury, Parka is able to give the big man a surprising amount of trouble, but he can't quite get the job done. Especially after Bam Bam Bigelow returns from injury to get in a few cheapshots! (D)

The Steiners corner Rock backstage and butter him up as a future star. Maybe he'd like to join the winning team and get a TV Title out of it! The Rock will consider these jabronies' offer. (B-) Main event: Cactus, Funk, and Sabu form an ECW all-star team against the Wolfpac's Douglas, Windham, and Whipwreck. Funk coming back is still the big story here, and he proves he belongs by serving as the driving force behind a face win. (C+)

Rating: C SUCCESS still not enough babez

-Windham suffers a Grade II Hamstring Contusion, probably Funk's fault.

ECW PRESENTS HARDCORE HEAVEN
Saturday, Wk. 3, June 1996

Heyman comes out to inform the crowd that Jericho couldn't even be bothered to show up for his big title match tonight- typical of these Network punks! Instead, he's putting some REAL ECW guys in the title match: Sabu and Mark Henry! And that match...is right now! (C) Sabu and Henry's rivalry continues, with both too focused on each other to properly put the champ away. Scorpio puts them both through the announce table with a top rope legdrop that doesn't look like it worked out well for anybody. Scorpio covers Sabu in an awkward finish shortly thereafter. (B-; Scorpio fully ruptures his triceps tendon; Henry contracts Costochondritis; Tom learns more random medical terms)

La Parka gesticulates enthusiastically at a bikini contest. Beulah doesn't really want to be there, but wins anyway. Woman gives her the stinkeye. (C+) Saturn gets his shot at Taz's TV title. A good effort with lots of mat wrestling, but the champ retains. (C-)

Tag Titles are up next, with the Pitbulls taking on Stevie and Christian. The youngsters are revved up, but come up sort, with Stevie eating the pin. (D) Christian yells at Stevie afterwards, then slaps him and leaves. (D+) Kronus was apparently feeling left out watching his partner get a title shot, so he gets the Rock instead. Rock puts him away rather easily. (D+)

Cactus Jack promised a partner tonight with whom he'll challenge the Network AND the Wolfpac! The only man crazy enough to do that is...of course....TERRY FUNK. (B) Scott Steiner also bailed tonight, so Chavo will be teaming with Rick, and Whipwreck and Douglas will be the Wolfpac pairing. Cactus and Funk go back much farther than the other teams, and have a much bigger mean streak than even the heels. That serves them well, as they are able to weather the chaos and just scrap their way to a win. (B)

Windham and Dreamer get the main event slot unexpectedly, and underpreform a bit if we're being honest. The former friends(?) beat the heck out of each other, but Windham has a bit more in the tank tonight, and outlasts Dreamer. (C-)

Overall: C- SUCCESS

Surgery on Scorpio's tendon failed and made his injury worse

I was gonna go with Maniac's start a feud idea, but a better one has presented itself.

I don't really want to be champ-less for three months, so @Maniac64 gets to pick one person to get a shot at the title! I'm not committing to having them win or having it be a one-on-one match, but they'll at the very least be in a world title match!

Rock is brought to ringside by Missy Hyatt once more, but Windham comes out to call her a useless bimbo! (B-) We've got ourselves a nice little match here. Windham eventually gets the upper hand on his young opponent....but Tommy Dreamer rushes the ring! He tackles Windham to the ground and starts wailing on him, causing a DQ! (C-)

Jericho has a mic and says he's tired of being underestimated, of being looked past, of being the other guy in the Network. He took out Scorpio last week so now he can get the respect he deserves! What he gets is a stern talking-to from Scorp, who decides to put the title on the line against Jericho this Sunday! (D+) With no particular build-up, Perry Saturn of the Eliminators defeats 911 for a shot at the TV title. (D)

Cactus Jack is ranting backstage. Whipwreck is nothing but a turncoat- he turned on Cactus, he turned on the Network, and he'll turn on the Wolfpac too! Cactus told everybody so, but since nobody is listening to him and nobody's getting rid of the Network....he's made a few phone calls. This Sunday, he's teaming up with an old friend....and both the Network and the Wolfpac are going to suffer. (B-)

Speaking of the Wolfpac, Douglas, Whipwreck, and Windham are out to cut a promo. They are gonna get rid of the Network, and then they're gonna get rid of the rest of ECW's has-beens and freaks like Cactus Jack. The Network has a bit to say about that, and they charge the ring! Wolfpac are short on the numbers game, and find themselves on the losing end. ....Out come Stevie Richards and Christian Cage to make the save! They hi-five with the Wolfpac. (D+)

Our main event is Sabu v. Mark Henry, unfortunately. Sabu drags the big man to a watchable match, but then we get a DQ finish after Henry gets a bit too rough even by ECW's lax officiating standards! (C)

We start off with Rock vs. Chavo! Fun opening match, with Rock getting the win. (D+) Dreamer is in the ring demanding answers from Windham. Windham says that he tried to help Dreamer, but some souls are simply lost, and one must move on and keep growing. (C-)

Taz defends his title against the debuting Adam Impact. The kid is a jobber, but might have big things in his future. He just needs a little Edge. (D+) Missy Hyatt is hanging around bimbo-ly, and the Bad Crew pants her. (D)

Sabu and Henry appear to still have not settled their scores! Bam Bam is not around tonight, and maybe Cactus Jack has better things to do, but the two of them have a merry little backstage brawl regardless. (C+) Stevie has recruited Christian Cage for tag team action! It's almost like they've worked together before, but that's probably just your imagination. They get a big win over the Dudleyz. (the face ones we've heard of, not the heel OGs) (D)

Cactus Jack accosts Shane Douglas backstage. He respects that Douglas turned on those Network stooges, but he probably shouldn't trust Windham, and DEFINITELY shouldn't trust Whipwreck. Douglas appreciates the thought, but the Wolfpac didn't ask for the opinion of a psycho. (B-)

Scorpio (and Parka) never really settled the score with the Steiners, so they get another chance in our main event. Parka is punching a bit above his weight, but the ECW Champ is able to pick up his slack even against the fluid teamwork of the Steiners. We have a hot little tag match going....but Jericho runs in on Scorpio, winning it for the Network! He screams at Scorpio as the Steiners celebrate and the show goes off the air. (B)

ECW presents Fight the Power
Friday Week 1, June 1996

We open in the ring, as The Rock takes on Mustapha Saed. Rock showboats a bit for the crowd, and Saed makes him pay a couple of times, but the youngster prevails all the same. (D) Chavo attempts to enlist the services of Missy Hyatt, but she prefers real men like Rock. (D+)

The Pitbulls are up next, defending their tag belts against Dreamer and Windham. The challengers start strong, but a couple of crossed wires put the momentum back on the champions' side, and Dreamer winds up getting pinned shortly thereafter. (D+) Dreamer and Windham argue a bit over who was at fault for the finish, but then they shake hands and make up. They leave togeth- Windham blindsides Dreamer as he's leaving the ring! Windham slams Dreamer on the arena floor before scoffing and walking away. (C+)

We go from title to title as Christian Cage (who is NOT the New Meanie, why would you even bring that up?) makes his in-ring debut challenging Taz for the TV belt. The kid makes an impressive effort, but Taz gets the win. (D+) We follow that up with a Jericho/La Parka grudge match. Jericho finds himself on the receiving end of a long string of japes, but ultimately pulls out a win. (D+)

In a rather extreme case of mood whiplash, this is followed by a bowling shoe ugly brawl between Big & Strong and Cactus Jack and Sabu. Senior official Jim Molineaux gives them plenty of leeway, and the four men make good use of it to destroy themselves. Ultimately the heels' teamwork and power outlast the faces' crazy spots. (C+; Bigelow suffers an abdominal sprain)

Our main event has Too Cold Scorpio defending his shiny new ECW Title against Scott Steiner. With most of his friends already spent for the evening, Scorpio struggles against the numbers game with Rick Steiner and William Alfonso providing assistance from ringside. Scorpio seems to be in a bit of trouble.....but wait, here comes Shane Douglas....and Mikey Whipwreck! They storm the ring and blindside a confused Steiner! The pair takes out the Network reinforcements as Scorpio looks on in confusion. That'll be a DQ win for Scott, but that's not what he wanted tonight. (C-) Scorpio extends a tentative hand to the interlopers, but Douglas slaps it away! He announces that he and Whipwreck are sick of ECW, but also sick of the Network....so they are forming....THE WOLFPAC! (C)

sorta!

ECW Hardcore TV
6/wk1/96

Christian Cage is backstage, whoever that is. (looks kinda like the New Meanie?) He introduces himself to Missy Hyatt, but she's not impressed. (C) The Rock makes his in-ring debut with an impressive quick win over Big Dick Dudley. (D)

Jericho comes out and goes on a tirade about a little rat like La Parka costing the Network the title. After a while Parka comes out on the ramp and mocks Jericho's mannerisms, which only causes Jericho to get angrier and more animated (and mockable). Jericho wants him at Fight the Power! (D+) Next up is Dreamer+Windham v. the Eliminators for a shot at the Pitbulls' tag titles. It looks like the tension in the team is resolved, as Dreamer is able to score the pinfall! Crowd's not sure how to feel about it. (D+) Cactus and Sabu are brawling around backstage with Big & Strong! They're wrecking the whole backstage area! (B-)

Douglas and Whipwreck are out for vengeance against their former stable in the main event, teaming up against the Steiners. Solid back and forth match- the Steiners' tag experience starts giving them an edge, but Douglas gets a hot tag to turn things around! Chavo Guerrero comes out to ringside for no apparent reason, but is content to hang out and watch the match for now. Whipwreck is back in now, controlling the match against Rick Steiner. Scott argues with the ref about the tag....and Chavo picks up his chair, slides in the ring, and takes out Whipwreck! Rick covers for the win as Douglas yells impotently. (C) Chavo takes off his shirt, revealing a Network shirt under it! He's happy to be on the winning team, and hi-fives the Steiners....here comes Too Cold Scorpio! The champ clears the ring of the Network, and extends a hand to Douglas and Whipwreck....but they don't take it. (C)

Overall: C- not enough babez

Random observation: Marcus Alexander (Buff) Bagwell's pic in this mod kinda looks like a bulked up Ferris Bueler.

-Alphinaud from FFXIV is at ringside! @TheSultanOfSlam gets in his face, then spits on him before getting in the ring.

-Loser defends their title next week: Hardcore Champ Sultan v. Master of Taybles @Eddv
It may be a regular rules match, but that is not gonna stop either of these men from taking a creative approach. Case in point, Sultan wins with a chair shot in a disappointingly short match.
Winner: Sultan

Retcon of earlier Bryan/Cueto bit: In fact, Bryan is replacable, and needs to remember that. Cueto's got some hot new talent coming through the pipes, so why doesn't Bryan take the night off? He'll be replaced in the main event by @davidponte and have time to think about his career.

- Backstage, David runs across Voodoo from Wrestling MPire. Voodoo says that powerful magic is afoot tonight, and David should beware it more than his opponents! Weird.

-Match: @Strife2 , david, and @MajinZidane v. Knights Radiant (B8WL Champ @Korayashi , King @Maniac64 , and Zangief)
David hasn't had a chance to prepare much for this match, and is weirded out by Voodoo on top of that. He starts out for his team anyway, and Maniac just....flattens him for a quick win!
Winners: Knights Radiant

-Strife and Boko are already back up the ramp in disgust, but David isn't having this, and wants a rematch with Maniac....and let's make it HARDCORE! Like in the glory days of UCA! Maniac agrees, but there's one thing B8WL does better than UCA....and that's gang warfare. The Knights jump David and beat him down something awful! David has to be stretchered out after a Spinning Piledriver.

don't forget to nom celebs we will run out eventually >_>

Show 2-1

-The Rock welcomes John Cena to a sit-down about his life post-title and his continued feud with @XIII_rocks . Things are pretty normal until the titantron is hijacked! XIII pops up....with Nikki Bella! Nikki has had enough of staying silent, and shares the REAL reason that they aren't together anymore- Cena is a cheater! The crowd is stunned by this allegation, but Cena doesn't seem to have a response. XIII does not make out with Nikki because this is not WWE, but he is enjoying ruining Cena's life and reputation.

- @eaedwards6400 comes out to the ring and talks about how he's looking forward to a rematch with Flair from a couple weeks ago. It'll be great to get a decisive winner and settle the score like me- Flair smacks him from behind with a chair.

-Match: Eaed v. Flair
Flair makes the mistake of trying to brawl with Eaed, and the chair attack didn't quite do enough damage to make that a good idea. After a while, though, Flair's wits prevail, and he is able to take a more technical and tricky approach. Eaed puts up a solid fight, but Flair is just able to outlast him.
Winner: Flair

-Eaed had a good outing, but is clearly getting frustrated with losing yet again. The fans rally behind him as he dusts himself off and heads back up the ramp.

-Cueto calls Cena into his office. Cena should face some further consequences for his actions....he's removed from tonight's main event, putting Scare in a handicap match instead!

-Match: @Panthera v. Ludwig
The Phantom Thief shtick might be the one that sticks, because Panth comes out fired up and loaded for bear. Ludwig's usual array of cheapshots and international objects barely keeps him alive against Panth's speed and focus. @Eddv comes out from the back for emotional support, and Panth immediately starts yelling at him. WHOOPS DISTRACTION SCHOOLBOY. 1....2....3. Ludwig steals one!
Winner: Ludwig

-Ludwig and Eddv celebrate like he just won the world title clean. Panth fumes.

-Flair is celebrating his win over Eaed. Bison tells him not to get ahead of himself. The goal is to keep the UCA title on Bang, and get the world title on XIII. Flair's just the new guy around YMD. Flair takes offense to being talked down to, and gets in Bison's face. XIII has heard enough, and decides that Flair's services are not required at this time. Flair is left sputtering and out of YMD!

@IhatethisCPU
-Match: ECHO v. Bison
ECHO dominates the early stages, but after some heated words, Bison gets his head in the game and fires back. Bison takes over for a bit, and the rest of the match is a bit more even. ECHO weathers all of Bison's shenanigans and even throws in a chair shot for the win.
Winner: ECHO

-Bryan wants to know why Cueto keeps letting all this cheating and thuggery run rampant in B8WL. Cueto simply smiles and replies that he enjoys violence. Bryan had his chance to get on the winning team a few weeks ago, but if he's not going to do that, he'd better start enjoying violence real fast before the Knights Radiant destroy him and his friends tonight.

-Tiger Mask is here! Looks like this is heel Tiger Mask, as he accompanies XIII and Bang to ringside.

-Handicap: @ScareChan v. YMD (UCA Champ Bang and XIII)
This of course was to be a tag match before Cueto removed Cena. Gonna be a long night for Scare, probably. He actually gets the upper hand on Bang early, taking it to the champ and rallying the crowd! She reverses an Irish Whip, causing a ref bump. XIII clobbers Scare with the belt, the ref wakes up for the cover, and that's that.
Winners: YMD

-Backstage, Cena and Rock are upset that they weren't out there to help.

Hardcore TV
5/wk4/96

Missy Hyatt has Shane Douglas backstage. He has harsh words for Alfonso, the Steiners, and this whole situation. Alfonso in particular is going to regret turning his back on the guy that got the Network where it is. (B-) Cactus Jack and Sabu have teamed up! Presumably Sabu was recruited to help even the odds against Big & Strong at the next PPV. They drag the Bad Crew to a watchable match. (C-)

Dreamer is upset that things haven't been going well under Windham's guidance. Windham chides him for his doubts, and consoles him with the fact that they have a #1 Contendership match next week! (C+) Not to be outdone by Cactus and Sabu, Big & Strong put down the Dudleyz, but not without a fight from the up and comers. (C)

The Pitbulls are lobbying Alfonso for another match with the Steiners. Alfonso would love to give his boys a chance to settle the score and take the tag titles, but they have bigger fish to fry....because at Fight the Power, it'll be Scorpio v. Scott for the ECW Title! (C) And in fact we are getting a taste of that in our main event, as Scorpio brings in his new buddy La Parka to face both Steiners. The champ and the chairman are on a roll, but can't match the Steiners' experience as a team and chemistry. La Parka winds up tapping to the Steiner Recliner. (B-) The Network's music hits, and out comes Mikey Whipwreck! Y'know, the attack on Douglas last week didn't sit great with him...and neither does Scott getting the first crack at Scorpio! Alfonso is just doing whatever he wants despite all the dues Whipwreck and Douglas paid, and Mikey's OUT! (C)

Overall: C+ SUCCESS

One item of news before we continue because I don't want this glorious main event to go unnoticed:

-WCW Saturday Night gets C+ (ME: Wallstreet/Shango/DDP d. Santana/Arachniman/Warlord)

Alrighty so Exile is coming up next, where all title matches are title v. career, and it's gonna be kinda funky. We have 4 heel champions, and off the top of my head most of our faces are B8ers. I try to avoid putting B8ers careers on the line, but I am curious if any of you would be interested or at least not adverse to any of the following possibilities:

-Continuing on with a Midnight Rider/Mr. America/Juan Cena bit
-Getting fired but choosing your replacement (with the restriction it has to be somebody I know somewhat well)
-Getting fired and just being done with this

I'll figure something out if nobody volunteers, so no pressure. But hey, options are nice! Also not many of you will make it on the PPV otherwise since I'm planning on two non-title matches and one's probably Cena/XIII >_>

CPU did try to talk me out of Exile so maybe I should've listened but I like the idea of rotating people out somewhat frequently to keep stuff fresh! It just gets a bit awkward when half the roster is people I want to be immune from that <_< And last time the challengers went 0-4 lol.

-B8WL Championship Cage Match: Champion John Cena v. Korayashi
Cena slaps Kora, but Kora just shrugs it off. However, Kora can't see the champ. Crowd gets behind Cena and his mind games, but Kora shuts them up with a closed fist. (garnering strong words from Senior Official Donald Johnson) Cena kicks Kora in the head during a sudden burst of flexibility, but Kora backs up before Cena can follow up. That just lets Cena get a head of steam for a running lariat, though. Kora pulls Cena's weird hair, but Cena manages to reverse that into an arm drag. Kora's starting to get uncharacteristically heated, but Cena's already fired up, and they get into a staredown, then a pushing match, then a screaming match! Maniac's at ringside! He slides brass knuckles through the cage into the ring....but Cena gets to them first! He seems to ponder using them....but he's too goody-goody, and discards them. Hey wait, Kora's been climbing the wall while Cena had a moral quandary! Kora jumps off and spears Cena from halfway up the wall! Cena is broken in half, but Kora's not done! Kora throws the champ into each wall of the cage.....Yokosuka Cutter! 1......2......3!
Winner and NEW B8WL Champ: Kora

-The Knights Radiant celebrate in the ring with Kora! Cena takes a while to find his feet, but is eventually able to pull himself together for a ringside interview with Tony Schiavone. Cena starts to talk about his morals, about underestimating Kora, and about his frustration and wanting a rematch....when Kora comes over and shoves the belt in Cena's face, mocking him! The show closes on a frustrated Cena (and an equally frustrated crowd that just realized that the heels swept Mania)

-HC Title cont: david v. Sultan
Sultan tries a Camel Clutch, but that's even less effective here, and david manages to slip out the back. David tries a crossbody...but Sultan just catches him and falls onto the discarded chair on top of him! Cover! 1.....2.....3!
Winner and NEW Hardcore Champion: Sultan

-Eddv comes out as Sultan hoists the belt! They're brothers and stuff, y'know, despite Sultan running a foreign heel gimmick. Sultan waves the HC belt at Eddv, and Eddv responds by flaunting the Mastery of Taybles! The tension is palpable- WM20 this ain't.

@IhatethisCPU
-Randy Orton makes an appearance backstage to talk to ECHO. Sometimes legends....just need to be killed. ECHO shouldn't be holding that against Bang or her friends, because no matter how big a legacy is....there's always an Apex Predator in the wings ready to end it. ECHO doesn't respond, but has one eye over their shoulder on the way out for the match.

-UCA Title Mechanicsburg Death Match: Champion Bangladesh DuPree v. ECHO
As a reminder, this is a 2/3 falls count anywhere match, with some limited weapons available. Bang comes out with a walker, mocking Taker; ECHO has lugged a giant oil drum down the ramp, and there is helpfully a large flatscreen TV at ringside just waiting to break on somebody. ECHO shoves the walker backwards, knocking Bang down, but she is back up no sweat. Doesn't save her from the followup dropkick, or from ECHO denting the walker with her skull. They brawl over the rail into the crowd! Bang is first to her feet, and puts the boots to the challenger. She slaps on a Sharpshooter right on the arena steps! ECHO taps out, probably trying to mitigate the damage going into the second fall.
(Bang 1-0)

Bang starts heading back to the ring for more artillery, but ECHO is up and catches her with a lariat off the barricade! ECHO throws in a shot with the walker for old times' sake, although it's getting too Banged up to be all that practical. Still good for a chokeout, though....and then ECHO follows it up with a Spike Piledriver! 1....2....3!
(Tied 1-1)

ECHO's not done, and whips Bang into the ringpost. Bang tries to bring the corner steps into play, but senior official Mike Brown reminds her that's not on the list of permissible weapons. ECHO decides it's time for the oil drum. They go over to fetch it while Bang argues with the ref....wait, when did Bison get here and what was he doing over by the drum? Ah well, it's probably not impor-THE DRUM EXPLODES IN ECHO'S HANDS. ECHO is not particularly responsive as Bang gets the academic pin.
Winner and STILL UCA Champion: Bang

-The announcers decry whatever shadiness YMD just pulled off, as Bang decides to smash the obscenely expensive ChekhovTron 3000 in celebration. ECHO is eventually able to leave under their own power, apparently having some flame-resistant qualities.

-Before Cena's entrance, he gets a promo package talking about some of the greatest sports legends of their time. Cena's legacy of dominance is compared to that of [please insert some current sports megastars]. Out comes TIGER WOODS to walk him to the ring!

((I'm just kinda amused by this result. First, it literally says that the celeb will manage the wrestler "for the rest of the season" and well this is the last show of the season. Also it should give a major popularity boost but Cena's already maxed out. I'd rather give it to @Korayashi but the heel options were Voodoo and the farmer guy from Night Vale, you know, the farmer. Neither of those really seemed to fit his character or the moment!))

-YMD have a tense but peaceful celebration as XIII hoists the trophy....but wait, here comes Mario! Mario has plenty to worry about already with the title defense and the spat with ownership and the nagging injury and the mysterious attacker, but it looks like he wants to claim vengeance for the beatdown a couple weeks ago! Mario's a house on fire, but wasn't quite ready to charge into enemy territory, and he soon finds himself on the business end of a pedigree. XIII grabs a mic- he's been on a hot streak ever since his first appearance, and it's time he got recognized for it. This statue of this old guy is a decent start, but he wants to settle the score with Cena! Now, he's not dumb enough to issue an Exile challenge, but he thinks that beating up Cena would be a good way to get back in the title picture afterwards, no matter who has the belt by then! So, he wants Cena (non-title) in a hell in a cell....or better yet, ROCKS IN A BOX. Mario recovers, but chooses to walk away instead of getting in a further altercation.

-HARDCORE: King @Maniac64 v. @Strife2
Strife gets a leg up by running in from the crowd instead of making a regular entrance! However, Maniac rebounds off the ropes with a lariat. Strife falls back to the outside, only to pull a weed whacker out from under the ring and take it to Maniac's face. Maniac pulls out a stop sign. Since he's not Shane Storm, it doesn't work on Strife, but whapping him with it does. Maniac sets the apron on fire, and tosses Strife under it as it gets going! Strife emerges from the other side, but Maniac is ready and waiting with a stomp. Maniac has found the glass display case for the trophy from earlier, and breaks it over Strife's head! ....But that only keeps him down for 1. Maniac goes looking, and pulls out a ladder...just to jump off it! Implant DDT on the broken glass! Even Strife's not getting up from that one.
Winner: Maniac

-Maniac says that Kora's gonna beat Cena even worse than he just beat Strife!

-Cueto tells Eddv that the job is half done for him already, so he'd better be able to pick the bones. Just in case, though...he's got one more trick up his sleeve!

-Mastery of Taybles: Champion Mario v. @Eddv
And here comes the referee....R-Truth? In full MLB umpire gear. One is not sure exactly what advantage a crooked referee will grant in a tables match, but Mario is already half dead anyway, so smart money is on Eddv. Mario throws a punch or two, but there's no power behind it. Eddv shrugs it off and catapults Mario to the outside, t'rew a tayble! Truth holds up a successful field goal sign.
Winner and NEW Master of Taybles: Eddv

-Eddv celebrates with his somewhat ill-gotten gains....and sees a letter set on the turnbuckle. Everybody's confused by it. Eddv opens it and takes a look....and shoves Truth away from him! Eddv looks confused and hurt, and Truth just....looks confused. Eddv leaves separately.

-Hardcore Title: Champion @davidponte v. @TheSultanOfSlam
The announcers question the background of the Sultan as he roars at the crowd. Ludwig comes out to complain that he wasn't given this shot, and Sultan takes advantage of the distraction to clobber david with a fire hydrant and toss him through a leftover tayble from last match. David comes back with the ladder from last match, because recycling is important here in B8WL. He traps Sultan's arms in it and delivers a few kicks to his helpless opponent. Sultan rolls out....and David hits End of Days onto exposed arena floor! Even that's not enough to keep Sultan down, though, and David soon finds himself getting rammed into the Spanish announce table. David retaliates in kind, and gets a 2 count. Sultan gets in a chair shot. David gets the chair away and retaliates with that too. There it is...the UCA Special! ...But Sultan eyepokes out of it.

Board 8 Wrasslin' League presents PLAAYMania!

-Bowser welcomes us to the show in his own inimitable style, and brings out John Cena for a chat. Cena gives us a paint-by-numbers promo about the spectacle of PLAAYMania, the honor of main eventing, how bad he's gonna whoop Kora, all that. We're off to a surprisingly uneventful start when @Panthera comes out! The Priest of Greed Dario Cueto has been turning MLMF into his personal stooges lately, and no doubt Bowser will be joining his son when he is cleared to wrestle. When that day comes, Panthera will put a stop to Bowser's envious ways, and he calls Cena to witness this as referee. Bowser laughs off the threat, but Cena seems interested. Anyway though, Cena's got a title to retain, and Panth has a battle royal to win.

-The Miz talks about Harley Race's legacy for a bit, and puts over the battle royal in his honor. This will be dedicated to a different recently departed industry figure every "year," and who better to start the tradition?

-Harley Race Memorial Battle Royal: Everybody not scheduled to wrestle otherwise except injured people and it's very likely I put somebody in the wrong pile at some point

Bison starts us off with a half nelson on Flair, then just chucks him over the top! @XIII_rocks has brought his bag of 13 rocks, and lays into @eaedwards6400 and @MajinZidane with it....knocking Boko over the top! Zangief is chasing @ScareChan around the ring until Scare summons Cena to help him out! Cuz, y'know, the champ has nothing better to do. Truth goes straight after Ludwig, landing one of his corkscrew thingies much to his stablemate's confusion. Ludwig pokes him in the eye, trying to settle him down. Bryan stuns @Panthera with a handspring back elbow.

Cena barely even makes it to the ring before Zangief throws Scare onto him. Ludwig got a bit too fired up himself, and accidentally sends Truth out while trying to do a rope burn. Bryan superkicks Panth over the top! Zangief bludgeons Eaed into submission before ejecting him.

Bryan is apologizing to Panth when Ludwig catches him from behind with a dropkick....but the string of OHKOs has come to an end, as Bryan doesn't even go to the apron. The Koopa Kar fixes that!

Your all-heel final four is Bison, XIII, Zangief, and Ludwig. Zangief appears to be the target of the other three, but YMD are smart enough to hang back while Ludwig charges in and gets lariat'D to heck. Zangief senses the odds, and opens up with a flurry of shots on Bison, but Bison just shrugs it off and hits a Scissors Kick. Bison gets Zangief in a choke hold...and tosses him out before he can catch his breath!

You, Me, and DuPree have already locked this up, but who is the better megalomaniacal brains of the operation? After a staredown, XIII runs in, but Bison simply snapmares him over the top! ...But XIII skins the cat and lands on the apron. XIII battles back, and even manages to get a glancing blow with one of his rocks. XIII gets a chokehold on his subordinate....and drags him over the top for the win!
WINNER: XIII_rocks

ECW Hardcore TV
5/wk3/96

Missy Hyatt of all people starts the show with a mic in her hands, informing us that we're gonna see something good. ECW has a future star on their hands tonight, and she is very pleased to introduce him to herself, er, to you all. Please give a warm welcome to....ROCKY MAIVIA! Rocky comes out and informs us that his friends call him The Rock. He's gonna lay a smack down on anybody who gets in his way, Network or ECW or anybody else! (C-; Rock's Anti-Hero gets Great; Missy gets a new catchphrase) The Pitbulls roll through the Bad Crew to retain in a forgettable match. (D-)

Scorpio and Parka are still celebrating Scorpio's title win, and Parka's involvement therein! The Network got what was coming to them, and now ECW can have a champion they'll be proud of! (D+) Stevie teams up with Sabu to take on the pairing of Windham and Dreamer. Windham and Dreamer are starting to show signs of strain in their relationship, and a series of miscues allows Stevie to pick up the big win and finally get a leg up on them both. (C)

The Network are in the ring. Last night...was a disappointment. Douglas let that worthless thug Scorpio get the title! But, Alfonso will fix ECW, starting with the Network itself. It's time for a bit of a shakeup! The Steiners come out to the ring! The wrestling members of the Network are not particularly sure what to think of this....and the Steiners jump Douglas! Whipwreck and Jericho seem unsure whether or not to get involved, and wind up standing by while the Steiners punk out the former champ, to Alfonso's delight. Alfonso poses with the Steiners over Douglas, and Whipwreck and Jericho are coerced into hesitant participation. (B-)

Our main event is Cactus vs. Chavo for no particular reason. Chavo puts up a good fight, but can't quite get it done against the hardcore legend. (B-) Cactus toots his own horn for a bit, saying that Whipwreck found out the hard way what he should've already known- that Cactus was a big, bad, man. Speaking of which, Big & Strong seem to have taken offense to that statement, and demonstrate their own bigness and badness (and numbers advantage) by laying him out! (C+)

Overall: C+ SUCCESS
